She received her LPN degree in 1978 and later obtained her RN degree in 1991. She worked in the geriatric community with Columbine Health Systems and with Larimer county Hospice until her retirement in 2007. Nancy went home to be with the Lord on May 30, 2019 in Laramie, WY.

She is survived by her husband, Dean Goins; daughter, Christine Sherrard (Joe) Brown; son, Randy (Vickie) Ackerman; stepdaughter, Cathy Humrich. She is preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Blanche Knox; her sister, Joyce (Knox) Glass; her brothers, Robert and William Knox; son, Brett Ackerman; grandson, Matthew Estes; husbands: Darrell Ackerman and Andy Andrzejewski.

Nancy had a tuff childhood life, but she learned through hard work she could accomplish her goals. She loved working in her yard and garden. She was an avid Broncos fan and loved football in general. You could always find her spending time with family and friends. She also loved working with the elderly at the nursing homes through her career as a nurse. The one thing that she spoiled herself with was getting her hair and nails done.

We take comfort in knowing that she's gone home to be with the Lord.
