Nan Kathryn Stromberg

Nan Kathryn Brazee Stromberg, born January 22, 1928 in Shelby, Nebraska, passed away on May 12, 2014, at the Medical Center of the Rockies at the age of 86. She had been a Fort Collins resident since, 1962, and spent most of her life in the lovely home she shared with her husband, Bill in Poudre Canyon. Nan entered her eternal peace surrounded by her loved ones. Nan and Bill enjoyed living in Poudre Park for over 30 years. Nan loved the community environment and was known for her holiday parties, hospitality, embroidery, and baking, especially for her homemade cinnamon rolls. Over the years, her 12 grandchildren enjoyed sitting at her breakfast nook and choosing cereal from the special variety packs she always had in the cupboard, and playing with her dogs, Rocky and Sunshine. Nan was a member and greeter at Faith Evangelical Free Church in Fort Collins, and a participant in various church activities including Women of the Word. Nana will be sorely missed by her husband, Bill; daughters, Linda Kraxberger and husband, Dave, Vicki Kingry and husband, Howard, Jo Payson and husband, Jim, Connie Sherwood and husband, Tom; son, Will and wife, Deb. She has twelve grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren. One of Nana's favorite Bible verses was Romans 15:13. "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the Power of the Holy Spirit. Memorial contributions may be made to the Faith Evangelical Free Church or St. Jude's Foundation in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W. Olive, Fort Collins, Colorado 80524. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at Faith Evangelical Free Church, 3920 S Shields St.
