Monie Waymon Neel

Monie Waymon Neel, 70, of Fort Collins, died May 30, 2011 at his home. Mr. Neel was born December 24, 1940 in Fort Collins, Colorado to Waymon and Violet "Nikki" Heiden Neel. Monie graduated from Wellington High School in 1958 and attending Colorado State University, where he was a part of the ROTC program. Mr. Neel worked 37 years for the City of Fort Collins as a plant operator at the Water Treatment Plant. His hobbies were gun and coin collecting. Monie was a good brother, a quiet man, who never met a stranger. He had an uncommon ability to be able to treat everyone with respect and equality. Survivors include his brothers, Steve and his wife, Ingrid of Fort Morgan and Kinney and his wife, Teri Neel of Fort Collins, three nephews and two nieces, three grand nephews and one grand niece. A Memorial Service will be held at Bohlender Funeral Chapel on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. Memorial contributions can be made to charity of choice in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W. Olive St., Ft.
