Michael David Meehan

Michael David Meehan passed from this life peacefully at home with his family by his side on June 28th. He was a loving, cheerful spirit who graciously, with dignity and confidence negotiated the hurdles of life and business. He lived in accordance with his belief that life is perfect as it is and that it is our challenge and responsibility to contend with whatever comes our way. He was a visionary and a great inspiration to many people. Born in Bronx, NY on Feb. 5, 1940 and raised in Hicksville, NY, he attended Don Bosco Preparatory High School in Paterson, NJ, joined the Air Force and then graduated from Long Island University with a degree in Math and Economics. In 1967 he moved his family to California and then in 1992 to Colorado. He was a software engineer, became an attorney and enjoyed several entrepreneurial adventures over the years. He leaves a legacy of wisdom, love and laughter. He is survived by his wife, Kathy and children David, Michael, Patrick, Shaun and Chelsea, siblings Bob, Jack, Jim, Joe, Geraldine, and 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Michael and Elinore Meehan. We will all miss him dearly. We love you bubbs. A memorial service is planned for Saturday, 10:00 am, July 11, 2009 at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. Contributions can be made to Alzheimer's Disease Research in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel.
