Michael Don Morgan, 67, of Fort Collins died at his residence on October 29, 2015 after an eleven year battle with cancer. Mike was born on June 30, 1948 in McCook, Nebraska to Don and Betty Roberson Morgan. At a young age, they moved to Shenandoah, Iowa where he graduated from Shenandoah High School in 1966. Mike served in the U.S. Air Force for 4 years and then finished his education by graduating from the University of Colorado, Denver. Mike married Marlene Boden in 1974 and they had one daughter. Mike married Marjorie Opp on June 11, 1994 in Rocky Mountain Park, where they met hiking in 1990. Mike lived the last 30 years in Ft Collins. Mike was a Right of Way Agent for the State of Colorado Highway Department and Western States Land Services where he bought properties for roads, bike trails and the Fort Collins Max. Mike loved traveling, reading, hiking, CSU sports and the ocean. Many trips were spent near the ocean.
Survivors include his wife Marge of Ft Collins, a daughter Sarah (Jake) Scruby of Pierce, Colorado, mother Betty Morgan of Shenandoah, Iowa, one sister, Virginia (Steve) Anderson of Omaha, Nebraska and two grandchildren, Olivia and Vinny Scruby.

A Memorial service will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Plymouth Congregational UCC Church, 916 W Prospect, Fort Collins. A private inurnment with military honors will be held at Ft Logan National Cemetery, Denver.
