Michael Arthur

Michael Charles Arthur, 43, died Monday, Aug. 8, 2005, of massive head injuries suffered while riding his motorcycle and attending the Black Hills Classic in Sturgis, S.D. Mike was born on April 14, 1962, to Charles and Charlotte Arthur, of Fort Collins. He is survived by his parents; a sister, Dena Snyder; and two daughters, Amber Rose Morgan, of Plattsmouth, Neb., and Lacey Marie Arthur, of Fort Collins. Mike was born and raised in Fort Collins. He attended Poudre High School, had worked for Woodward Governor for several years and was presently employed at Kimball Precision in Loveland as a lead machinist. Mike loved his job, but he loved his motorcycle even more. Mike's enthusiasm for motorcycles started at a very early age, with his first trip to South Dakota when he was just 14 months old on his father's motorcycle. Mike had a zest for life and a love of the open road. He died doing what he loved best besides being with his daughters, family and friends. We will miss him, his genuine laughter, his great giving heart and the love he gave to his children and family. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Bethel Baptist Church, 833 N. Taft Hill Road. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Michael Charles Arthur in care of Bohlender Funeral Home, 121 W. Olive St., Fort Collins, CO 80521. All proceeds will go to his daughters to help with expenses.
