Melvin Deloss Farver

Melvin "Mel" DeLoss Farver, 86, of Fort Collins, died December 31, 2009 at home. Mr. Farver was born August 7, 1923 in Burns, Wyoming to Bud and Bernice Farver
Mel married Phyllis "Phil" Iverson on June 4, 1949 in Lake Mills, Iowa. Mr. Farver worked for Phillips Petroleum Company for 18 years, was Vice President for Pat Griffin Company for 18 years and then owned and operated Farver's Flowers for 10 years before retiring. He loved to make pickles and jams, enjoyed flowers, and arts and craft projects. He also loved to bowl, play cards and argue. Survivors include his wife, Phyllis "Phil"; sons, Steven Jill Farver, Craig Virginia Farver of Fort Collins; grandchildren, Lee Farver of Denver, Colorado, Morgan Farver of Fort Collins and one great-grandchild, Pryce Wyatt of Fort Collins. Preceding Mel in death are Parents, Bud and Bernice; and grandson, Richard Farver. A Memorial Service will be held at First United Methodist Church on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. Memorial contributions can be made to Pathways Hospice or American Heart Association in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W.
