Megan Carroll Housley was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on January 29, 1969 and died in Hospice care at McKee hospital on November 3, 2017.
Megan is the daughter of Larry and Trish Housley and sister of Kevin (Kristi) and Matt (Donna McWhorter). Megan was also part of a caring host home family for 11 years: Meitty and John Bells. During her life, Megan never took a step nor spoke a word due to developmental delays. Rather, she used those expressive eyes to connect with those around her. Since 1974 Megan has received services from Foothills Gateway day-programs and case management. Later in life, she was cared for in Mosaic group homes or host homes. The staff of Poudre Valley Hospital, Medical Center of the Rockies, and Pathways Hospice along with Dr. James McGinnis, Dr. Susie Klingner, and Dr. Scott Strader met her medical needs exceptionally well. Megan has been so very blessed and so have we. Her family misses her gentle spirit.
A Memorial Service will be held at Foothills Gateway, 301 Skyway, Ft. Collins, on Friday, November 17, 2017 at 12:30 PM.
