Maxine Sill Hansen passed away peacefully from cancer on October 13, 2011 at her home in Fort Collins, Colorado. Maxine was born February 10, 1928, to Cleo and Curt Sill in Beach, North Dakota. She graduated as valedictorian from Beach High School in 1946. She attended North Dakota State University and graduated in 1950 with a bachelor's degree in economics. While in college she met Ralph Hansen and they were married in 1951. They briefly resided in Ohio and Iowa before moving to Fort Collins in 1956, where she lived the rest of her life. Maxine was happy to be a homemaker and raise her children. She enjoyed sewing and playing the piano. She was often seen wearing red, her favorite color. As a member of the Timnath Presbyterian Church, she loved serving as the church librarian, and taught a special Bible class to the church youth. Maxine especially enjoyed the Sunday service music, and occasionally contributed with piano solos or accompaniment to other musicians. Maxine is survived by her children, Carol Scott Rupert of Overland Park, Kansas; Doug Hansen of Lafayette, Colorado; Rodney Julie of South Ogden, Utah; her grandchildren' Russelle and Isaac Hansen of South Ogden, Utah; and her sister, Dorothy Lussenden of Bismarck, North Dakota. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ralph, and her brother, Kenneth Sill. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 20 at the Timnath Presbyterian Church in TImnath, CO. Memorial contributions can be made to the Timnath Presbyterian Church, P.O.
