Maxine E. Folmer, 92 of Fort Collins, CO died Wednesday, March 6, 2019.

Maxine was born September 6, 1926 in Windfield, KS to Leonard and Minerva (Fletcher) Dobkins. Maxine married John J. Folmer, November 9, 1946 in Kansas City, MO. They moved to Trenton, NJ where they lived many years, then moved to Washington Crossing, PA. In 1967, the family moved to Fort Collins, CO.

Maxine was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Maxine worked many jobs before working at Woodward Governor where she worked as a Mechanical Repairs Secretary. She retired in 1984 after working there for 16 years. Her interests most of all were her beloved family. She enjoyed traveling, bingo, music, cooking and hosting spectacular, traditional holiday events. She spent many hours birdwatching from her window and was delighted when her favorite hummingbird would come to visit.

She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Kelley (Michael J.) of Ft. Collins, CO., Sons, Ken Folmer and Robert Folmer of Fort Collins, CO; Grandchildren: Heather Kelley, Matt Kelley, Dawn Roth, Bill Folmer, Amanda Folmer, Eric Folmer, Denise Leeney, and Eric Burton. Greatgrandchildren: Dominic Kelley, Grace Kelley, Aiden Kelley, Cody Roth, Ryland Roth, Ameila Folmer and Kennedy Folmer. She is also survived by her loving sister, Mildred Lerner of Sun City, CA, and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John J. Folmer, in 2008 and their son, Joseph; her parents: Leonard and Minerva Dobkins; Brothers: Harry, Lee Roy, Homer, Edward, Howard, Leonard, Walter and Baby Dobkins; Sisters: Dorothy Bradway and Ellen Steves.

A rosary will be at Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W. Olive St, Fort Collins, CO. on Wednesday, March 13th at 7:00 PM. Mass of Christian Right will be at 9:30 AM, Thursday, March 14th at St. Joseph's Church, 300 W. Mountain Ave., Ft. Collins, CO 80521.

John and Maxine's ashes will be laid to rest in Holy Cross Cemetery, Trenton, NJ at a future date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: St. Joseph Catholic Church, 300 W. Mountain Ave., Fort Collins CO. 80521 or Halcyon Hospice., 209 Main St., Suite B, Mead, CO 80542.
