Matthew James of Larimer County sadly ended his own life at his Fort Collins home on October 10, 2024. Matt was a native of Sonoma County, California but had grown to love Colorado and all its natural beauty. He was a Colorado resident for 10 years. He is survived by his sister Lisa Quiroga, his brother-in-law Eddie Quiroga, and his nieces Lauren & Leah Quiroga of Beaverton, OR; his aunt Teresa Wood and uncle Mark James of Cloverdale, CA; his aunt Jan Sanders of Santa Rosa, CA, and his aunt Claire Radtke and uncle Carl Radtke of Santa Rosa, CA.
Matt was born in 1984 in Santa Rosa, CA, to Gary and Theresa James. He attended Montgomery High School and Santa Rosa Junior College. Matt enjoyed woodworking and creating beautiful coffee tables. He was also an avid reader and dearly loved dogs.
Private burial services will occur at Bennett Valley Cemetery, Santa Rosa, CA in early 2025. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline at
