Mathew Edward "Ski" Gulakowski, born Jan. 8, 1972, Fort Collins. Raised in Littleton. Graduated Littleton High School, 1990; CSU, 1995 with a degree in business. Died April 30, 2007. There is no one word that describes Mathew and how he lived his life. A few thoughts are: Son / Brother / Husband / Grandson / Generous / Thoughtful / Loyal Friend / Inventor / Artist / Woodworker / Free Spirit / Juggler / Unicyclist / Pack Rat / Rock Climber / Snow Boarder / Outdoor Enthusiast / Percussionist / DJ / Recycler / Perfectionist / Beer Connoisseur / Animal Lover / Humble Just ask him / Fisherman / Cuddler / Gentle / Always a Kid at Heart / Creative / Collector of Stuff / Dumpster Diver / Junker Gear Head / Speaker Geek / Cheese-Sausage-Crackers with hot sauce, of course / Just take the high road / No problem, I'll help you with that / You know, people throw away the best stuff! Mathew started ProFormance Woodworks in his garage. His business of quality custom woodwork was growing thanks to his many clients who valued his craftsmanship and the suppliers who worked with him. Mathew is survived by his wife, Rebecca Braaten-Gulakowski; parents, Gary & Virginia Gulakowski; brother, Dennis Gulakowski; grandparents, Carl & Lois Gulakowski; grandfather, Amos Klein; aunt & uncle Margaret and Steve Neuffer; uncles, Lynn Gulakowski, and Greg Klein; aunt, Elyse Gulakowski-Erwin and her family Bill, Kris and Daniel. Mathew touched the lives of Rebecca's family; sister, Rochelle Braaten; father, Dan Braaten; mother, Penny Plante and her husband David Plante. Mathew's family wishes to recognize and thank the many friends and loyal customers that have given an overwhelming outpouring of support to the family. A special thank you to Brian, Woodmasters; Scott Rice, F & C Door; the crew at Sears Trostell; Coopersmiths; Rocky Mountain National Park; Bath Nursery; and a deep heartfelt thank you to New Belgium Brewery for including him in their family.
