Mary Ann West

Mary Ann West, 79, of Fort Collins, passed away September 30, 2013 with her family by her bedside. Mrs. West was born January 24, 1934 in Fort Collins to Jerry and Mollie Dickson. Mary Ann met Johnny Earl West in 1957 and married February 14, 1958 in the Presbyterian Church in Laporte, Colorado. Mrs. West was a native of Fort Collins, attending Laporte schools and graduating from Laporte High School. She loved the trials and tribulations of raising her kids, traveling, big family get-gethers, birds, and gospel music. Survivors include her husband, Johnny; sons, Mark Deborah, "Bubba" John Teresa James Mitchell; daughter, Wendy; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren; brothers, Jack Dickson and Bob Dickson Rosemary, and niece and nephews. Preceding Mary Ann in death are her mother and father and her brother Jimmy. The family would like to thank Dr. Diana Medgyesy and her staff; Pathways Hospice, the congregation of the Presbyterian Church of Laporte, friends and neighbors. A Memorial Service will be held at Presbyterian Church in Laporte3820 W. County Rd 54G, on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. Dr. Fred Bunning will officiate the service. Those who desire may view Mrs. West on Sunday from 12:00 – 4:00 p.m. and Monday from 9:00a.m. - 4:00 p.m. at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. In Lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the PVH and MCR Foundations/ Memorial Cancer Center in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W. Olive St., Ft. Collins, CO 80524.
