Mom peacefully passed away with the Chaplain holding her hand, on Monday February 2, 2026.
Born April 3, in Ellsworth, Kansas.
Graduated from Ellsworth High School.
Moved to Fort Collins after high school.
Met up with Dad and Married 1960.
She is survived by Stacey (daughter), Shiloh (fur baby daughter), an adopted son, The Beast (2010, Corvette ZR-1, torch red) Joyce (sister-in-law)
Nieces and Nephews; Allyn and Gary Stangle, Mike and Phil Wagner, Bill Wanger, Deb, Wayne, Mike and Rick Specht.
Mom has many people waiting for her arrival into heaven: Dad (Wayne), her son Steve, our many fur babies; Pappy, P.J., Duke, Goofus, Stormy, Sebastian, Kodi and Schotzey. Her parents, Bake and Hulda Wagner. Brothers and sister, Jerry, Ron, Melvin, Ed and Norma Jean.
Numerous friends, too many to list with the exception her best friend Jackie Toman. I know those two are up to their usual shenanigans and catching up on lost time and our beloved Dark Angel, Mark Lanegan. Mom loved his Christmas album. Especially, his version of O Holy Night.
Mom and I attended many concerts together, George Michael, Jimmy Buffett, Marshall Tucker Band, Charlie Daniels and our last show was the legendary, Tom Jones.
One mother and daughter outing, we both got tattoos. Mom got a butterfly on her ankle and I, a parrot in a swing, for Jimmy Buffett.
Mom was in hospice the last eleven days of her life. At home, we always had chai tea after dinner. It started out with the three of us, Mom, Shiloh and I in her room. I bought a new tea service for us for Christmas. I asked Joyce if she wanted to join us to break it in. The next few days we had friends and nurses stopping by for chai. I believe Mom really enjoyed those evening tea parties.
Friday night we had a pizza party in her room. She had stopped eating at that point but, a couple of nights before she had a couple of bites of cheeseburger. Those parties are going to be nice memories during a very difficult time.
