Mary Helen Hayne was born on October 2, 1944, in Pasadena, California to Charles and Letha Hayne. She spent most of her life in Los Angeles, California. As a young girl her ambition was to raise a family. She graduated from Pasadena City College in 1964 with an associate degree in dental assisting. She married Dan Anderson on June 20, 1964. They had three daughters together whom she stayed home with to raise until her life circumstances changed. At that time, she began working for Bank of America where she remained for 36 years. She was a very hard worker who poured her heart and soul into independently caring for her three daughters. She married Robert "Win" Orton on May 22, 1976. They enjoyed many years together spending time on the Colorado River, bowling, and singing karaoke. Mary was meticulous and orderly. She was an excellent seamstress and loved sewing matching dresses for she and her three girls. She even made one of her daughter's wedding gowns. Her greatest joy was in seeing a task accomplished for those she loved.
