Mary Lane

Mary Lane, 82, of Fort Collins, died Nov. 26, 2005, at a local nursing home. Mrs. Lane was born Sept. 3, 1923, in Plain Lake, Alberta, Canada, to Samuel Samborski and Pearl Lysakoswski Samborski. Mary married Lawrence M. Lane on Sept. 1, 1945, in Edmonton, Alberta. They moved in 1945 to Fort Collins. Mary was a telephone operator for Mountain Bell for 27 years. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mrs. Lane is survived by her husband, Larry Lane, of Fort Collins; a niece, Mary Jo Offerman and her husband, Nick, of Fort Collins; and a nephew, Gary Lane of Fort Collins. She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and a sister, Ann Lane. The family would like to thank the staff at Columbine Care Center West for their care they gave to Mary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Thursday. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery. Father Piotr Mozdyniewicz will be officiating at the service.
