Mary Eutilia Gallegos
1920-2010 Mary Gallegos entered her eternal rest and faithfully will join her beloved husband, Moses at the Kingdom of Heaven. Mary passed away in her sleep at home Thursday, October 21, 2010. Mary was born June 14, 1920 in Fort Collins. Mary married Moses Gallegos at Holy Family Catholic Church April 29, 1945 in Fort Collins. She is survived by her children, Rosalie John, Russell Margaret, Daniel Clare; brothers, Ben Romero of Wellington; sisters, Margaret Gomez of Glendale, AZ, Elsie Haugland of Humboldt, IA, Vera Moreno and JoAnn Boone both of Fort Collins; 8 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Tomas and Claudia Serrano Romero; husband, Moses Gallegos; brothers, Abraham, Manuel, Chris and Juanito Romero; and sister, Theresa Romero. Mary was a hard working young girl. At the early age of thirteen she was hired to help run a gas station in Owl Canyon. She worked in many fields, and orchards. She was a dishwasher, waitress, and cook. She was employed at Water Pik until her retirement. Mary was a kind and loving person. She always had a smile for everyone and made friends easy. Everyone in her neighborhood of 63 years knew and enjoyed her company. Mary always had the coffee on and a pot of beans and fresh tortillas. She enjoyed dancing, having family gatherings, her grandchildren, knitting reading, watching her soaps and her cats. Viewing will be Wednesday and Thursday 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. Rosary and Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday at Holy Family Catholic Church.
