Listen to Obituary
Mary Frances Denby devoted her life to her family. She was born to Ethel and Harry Blank in Lawrenceville, Ill. Suffering from polio as a young child and living through the Depression, she was determined, practical and kind. On April 29, 1943, Mary Frances Blank married Donald William Denby. The next twenty years she spent keeping the family together as the wife of an Air Force officer. The values passed down from her mother, she passed down to her children: responsibility, duty, respect, compassion, and forgiveness. She taught us to smile and not be afraid to be the first to say hello. She was a Cub Scout and Girl Scout leader, a Sunday school teacher, hospital Grey Lady, and always involved in the church. Mary Frances touched many lives. She never lost her sparkle and graceful demeanor even through her later years suffering from dementia. Mary Frances Denby, always a "lady". Husband, Donald W. Denby, preceeded her in death. She is survived by her brother, Harry Blank; son, Bruce Denby; daughter, Linda Ray Rowland, daughter, Nancy Skip Fore; grandchildren, Duke Sara Rowland, Mandy Rowland, Shawn Ritsuko Fore, Ryan Jennifer Fore; and great grandchildren, Alex and Elora Rowland, and Hayden Fore. Services and burial will be held in Terry, Montana. Donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W. Olive Street, Ft. Collins, CO 80524.
