Mary Alice McGowan Cook entered into rest on January 23, 2025 at Poudre Valley Hospital, Fort Collins, Colorado. She was 100 years old.
Daughter of the late Raymond and Florence LaForce McGowan, Mary was born September 27, 1924. She was married to the late George W. Cook.
Mary is survived by 5 of her 7 children, Patty of Colorado, Carol (Greg) of Texas, Brian (Eve) of South Carolina, David of Montana, and Roger of New York, 11 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
Mary was preceded by her 2 sons, George and Gary, 2 sisters, and 2 brothers.
Mary grew up in Massachusetts. She spent time in Canada as a child at the McGowan Homestead. Mary lived in many places but raised her children in Maybrook, New York. She moved to Cornwall on the Hudson, New York and settled in Fort Collins, Colorado for the past 15 years.
Private family services will be held. Mary will be missed!!
