Marvin Loyd Hodges, age 82, passed away at home with his wife Marilyn by his side on April 25, 2025. Born February 9, 1943 to Hazel J and Charles Loyd Hodges in Colorado Springs. In his early years the family moved to Wellington, Colorado and raised 5 siblings. Blessed with an outstanding work ethic, Marvin rose above the poverty he was born into. Everything he ever had, he earned honestly. He was generous with his time and talent and Marvin helped many families in Wellington and Fort Collins repair or remodel their homes at very little cost to them. As well as helping those in need, he served on the Wellington Town Board in the 80's.
He spent his life working as a carpenter foreman. After retiring from construction he moved to the country and raised hay and cattle. He spent most of his time handing down knowledge, as well as working on his tractors and equipment every chance he had. He lived out his life cherishing the agricultural way of life. He was preceded by his mother, father, brothers, Darrell and Dwayne, and three sisters, Delores Marie, Beverly, and Charlene, and a nephew, Randy. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, sons, Kevin and Darren, a sister, Sharon Michael, and five grandchildren, Taylor, Baylee, Colton, Presley and Grason.
