Martha Jane Wilson

January 12, 1939 — November 4, 2023

Listen to Obituary
It's alright, it's going to be okay
Jesus has gone before me and prepared the way,
A servants heart and a full race run
Rooted in Father, Spirit and Son,
She loves the Creator and His creations
All the beauty that Jesus brings,
When Jane entered into Heaven
All the Angels began to sing.

Martha Jane Wilson, 84, of Wellington Colorado entered into her heavenly home peacefully surrounded by family on November 4th 2023. She was born in Amarillo Texas in 1939 to H.P. and Pauline Ledbetter. She grew up on a farm in the home her father built with her Dad, Mom, and younger brother Dwayne. She accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior when she was 9 years old.

She met Edward Morgan Wilson at West Texas A&M and they got married August 21st 1959. The family relocated to Ft. Collins, Colorado in 1962. God blessed Jane and Ed with three wonderful daughters Maurisa, Tracy, and Cindy. Their love of Jesus was shared with their daughters and echoes through all generations of their family.

Jane thoroughly enjoyed all of God's creation including fishing, hunting and gardening. She was always collecting and planting seeds everywhere she went. Jane was amazing with her hands sewing and crafting making one of a kind items for her family. She was also a talented homemaker. What her family remembers the most is her incredible elk jerky and her famous potato rolls that could be found at every family gathering. Homemade ranch on everything.

Jane had a heart of gold, set on giving. Her goal, to always leave those around her more blessed than when she first entered their lives. Leaving this world, she succeeded. She transformed all those who knew her and, and even those who didn't. Jane's personal Bible was underlined and starred in multiple places with verses she hid in her heart. She spoke words of life over her family without hesitation as she walked out a life of absolute faithfulness.

She was greeted by her Dad, Mom, Husband, and infant son. She will be missed by her family Maurisa & Buddy Jones, Tracy & David Post, Cindy & Jeff Anderson. Brother Dwayne & Karen Ledbetter. Grandchildren Resa & Dale Deaton, Tyler & Adriann Luke, Josh Post, Michelle Post, Kirsten and Nick Devine, and Morgan Ann Anderson. Great grandchildren Stetson and Casey McPherson, Chasin & Kylie Deaton, Aubrey & Everly Luke and Lily Post.
