Martha J. Place, 80, of La Porte, passed away at her home on April 27, 2021, surrounded by her family. Martha was born on February 13, 1941 in Hornbeak, Tennessee to Charles Davis and Sarah Beachum Davis.
Martha married Leroy H. Place on November 16, 1963 in Plymouth, Michigan.
Martha worked for many years at Ford Motor Company in the parts distribution department.
Survivors include her daughter, LeAnne Burks; a son, Mark Place; grandchildren Krystle Place, Korey Oakley, David Anderson, Simone Place; and great-grandchildren Gunner Oakley and Griffen Oakley.
Preceding Martha in death are her parents, Charles and Sarah Davis, and her husband, Leroy Place.
