MARSHALL HENRY HOHIMER, 89, went to be with his beloved Jesus on March 11, 2011 in Fort Collins. Marshall was born September 7, 1921 in Springfield, Illinois. He was the son of Clyde Cleveland and Clarissa LaVina Ternary Hohimer. Marshall was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Homer and Joe; and six sisters: Marie, Gladys, Grace, Nell, Betty, and Edith. He met Sarabelle Sally Harl at Devils Lake, Wisconsin, when he was working at a CCC Camp in 1939. Marshall joined the U.S. Marine Corps in 1941 and he and Sally were married on February 12, 1944 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She preceded him in death on June 17, 2007 after 63 years of marriage. Marshall worked at Dodge Steel Castings as a maintenance mechanic while living in Pennsylvania. They moved from Bristol, Pennsylvania to Craig, Colorado in 1962 and then to Fort Collins where he retired from Teledyne Water Pic in the mid 1980's. Marshall enjoyed woodworking, building furniture, boating, and fishing in local lakes. He and Sally enjoyed attending church regularly and were both involved in state and local prison ministry for many years. Both attended Christian concerts and events. Marshall is survived by three daughters: Mavis Sheridan of Punta Gorda, Florida, Alexis Hohimer of Redding, California, and Leslie Beth Hohimer of San Diego, California; 7 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. He was saved at the Salvation Army when he was 8 years old and lived for God his entire life. A Funeral Service with Military Honors by the Marine Corp League will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. Interment will be at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
