Marlin Dean Glantz, 85, of Fort Collins, Colorado died Thursday, December 1, 2022 at Poudre Valley Hospital.

A memorial service will be held 10:00 am, Monday, February 20, 2023 at Timberline Church, 2908 Timberline Road, Fort Collins. Honorary pallbearers will be Russ Parker, Ian Parker, Dustin Hayes, Jordan Hayes, Jacob Schwarz, Joseph Schwarz, J Braxton Carter II, and David Carter. Inurnment will be at Grandview Cemetery at a later date.

Marlin Glantz was born January 3, 1937 at St. Rose Hospital, Great Bend, Barton County, Kansas to Ella Joanne (Bartel) and Clarence John Glantz of LaCross, Kansas.

The family moved to Loveland, CO in 1945. Marlin graduated from Loveland High School, 1955. He attended the University of Colorado (Boulder) and Colorado State University before moving to Ogden, Utah, where he worked as an accountant and met and married the mother of his children, Janet Elizabeth (Baird) Mott in 1963 before moving to Fort Collins in 1964. (Divorced, 1994) There, Marlin began building duplexes with his father Clarence until Clarence's death in 1967. After that, Marlin (Glantz Construction) built many custom homes in the Fort Collins area.

Marlin served in the Air Force at Hill AFB (Utah) and in the Air National Guard (Wyoming), 1960-1964.

In retirement, he enjoyed camping, RV-ing, traveling and meeting his friends for morning coffee at The Breakfast Club.

He is survived by three sisters, Marian Carter of Colorado Springs, CO; LaVonne Parker (Russ Parker) of Fort Collins, CO; and Elaine Dean (Terence Dean) of Fort Collins, CO; two daughters, Connie Breean Glantz of Severance, CO; and Karen Glantz (Jacob Schwarz) of San Ramon, CA; 7 grandchildren: Monica (Hayes) Salazar and Megan Hayes of Ft Collins, Dustin (and Stacey) Hayes of Windsor, CO, Jordan Hayes of Severance; Elizabeth "Ella" Schwarz, Anna Schwarz, and Joseph Schwarz of San Ramon, CA; 3 great-grandchildren: Harper, Halle, and Henry Hayes of Windsor, CO and his long-time companion Mary McBride of Fort Collins, CO.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
