Mark Earl Vaughn

Mark Earl Vaughn, 64, of Masonville, Colorado passed away April 3, 2014 at McKee Medical Center in Loveland from complications of Multiple Myeloma. Mark was born June 16, 1949 in Ottumwa, Iowa to Leon Earl and Ellen Jane Bolick Vaughn. Mark graduated from Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa with a Mechanical Engineering degree. Mark married Catherine Marie Rhodes in June 1973 on a ranch in Poudre Canyon, Colorado. Mark worked for Woodward Governor as a mechanical engineer, managed plants in Brazil and Japan, was also a manager in Stephens Point, Wisconsin and Fort Collins, retiring in 1997. Mark had a passion for fly fishing and skiing. He touched the lives of everyone he met and also leaves many good friends. Mark was preceded in death by his father, Leon Vaughn. Mark is survived by his wife, Catherine; his mother, Ellen Vaughn of Ottumwa, Iowa; his three sisters, Sue Wally Van Ness of Ottumwa, Iowa, Lisa Martin Mortens of Johnston, Iowa and Lorie Kenneth Young of Columbus, Nebraska. Mark is also survived by his nephews and niece and their spouses or soon to be spouses. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday at Bohlender Funeral Chapel.
