Mark Aaron Stiger, 44, of Wellington, passed away on February 9, 2025. Mark was born June 12, 1980, in Colorado Springs, CO to Allen Stiger and Cathy Podschun Stiger. Mark had a great sense of humor, loved hats and was a loving father to his daughters Tessa and Millie. He loved ranching and especially raising yaks, climbing many Colorado 14ers, hiking the Appalachian Trail with Christy and later hiking Cinque Terre in Italy with is family, kayaking the rapids, cruising almost every year with Christy and later including the girls, and guiding white-water rafting trips for Rocky Mountain Adventures which many friends and family enjoyed. He loved building and remodeling his homes with Christy and her dad, Mike.
Mark graduated from Evangelical Christian Academy in 1998 where he received the Encourager's Award. He loved playing baseball there. He was active in Royal Rangers from a young boy through Junior College. He loved the fellowship, camaraderie, and the wilderness camping. Mark went on to get his associate's degree from Pike's Peak Community College and then moved to Fort Collins and graduated from Colorado State University. He served as a youth pastor at The Vineyard church in Fort Collins before beginning his master's degree in clinical Mental Health at Colorado Christian University. Most recently, Mark was the Director of Behavioral Health at the Larimer County Sheriff's Office.
Mark is survived by his spouse Christy Crow Stiger, children Tessa and Millie, all of Wellington; his parents Allen and Cathy Stiger of Colorado Springs; brother Matthew (Rebecca) Stiger and their children Amber, Cavin, and Micah of Colorado Springs; mother-in-law Martha Crow; aunt and uncle Kay (Joel) Ruark; aunt Joan Ellis; uncle Chris (Denise) Podschun; uncle C.W. Matthews; and four cousins: Amy Baxley, Jeff Ellis, Curtis Matthews and Hayley Podschun.
He was preceded by his father-in law Mike Crow, aunt Mary Matthews, uncle Ronnie Ellis and brother-in-law Dave Crow.
Mark touched so many lives sharing the gospel of salvation in Jesus Christ. A Celebration of Life is planned for Saturday, February 22, 2025, 10:00am at Timberline Church, South Auditorium, 2908 S. Timberline Rd., Fort Collins CO 80525. The service will be live streamed at
