Mark M. Giro, 75, passed away February 10, 2010. Mark was born February 2, 1935 in Walsenburg, Colorado, the son of Matt and Tena Giro. He moved to Fort Collins in 1935 where he lived his entire life. He graduated from Fort Collins High School in 1952 then went on to serve in the US Navy during the Korean War. After returning from the service, Mark worked at Don Art Printers for 37 years as a cameraman. Mark was an avid hunter and fisherman where he enjoyed the Colorado and Wyoming outdoors regularly. He also was a loyal, local sports fan, thoroughly enjoyed golf and was a lifetime member of the Elks lodge. Mark is survived by his son, Tony Giro and his wife, Chris; a daughter, Kris Giro; five grandchildren and a very special friend and companion, Sharon Southwick. Also surviving are his two sisters, June Campbell of Flagstaff, Arizona and Laura Bromagen of Cheyenne. Mark is preceded in death by his parents. A Memorial Service with full Military Honors will be held on Monday, February 15, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. A reception at the Elks Lodge, 1424 E.
