Marion Jean Bohan, 67, of Fort Collins, formerly of Arvada, CO, died at home on November 5, 2010 after a 5 ½ year battle with ovarian cancer. Mrs. Bohan was born on June 3, 1943 in Brooklyn, NY to William and Marion Pape. She married Joseph Michael Bohan on May 11, 1974 in Denver. Marion worked as a nurse for 45 years, which included duties as a registered nurse, and a nurse midwife. She then returned to college and received her license as a nurse practitioner. She spent the last nine years of her life as an infertility specialist, most recently working at Conceptions and Reproductive Associates in Littleton, Colorado. She was a member of the Colorado Nurses Association, the National Midwifery Association, Hunter College Alumni Association, and the University of Colorado Alumni Association. She enjoyed sculpting, oil and acrylic painting, crocheting, knitting, reading, and playing the piano. Survivors include her husband Joseph; a daughter, Christine E. Barker and her husband, Dr. Jason Barker of Fort Collins; two sons, Richard B. Da Silva of Arvada and Shawn T. Bohan of Bozeman, MT, and three grandchildren, Emma, Sophia and Jacob. Mrs. Bohan was preceded in death by her parents. A Celebration of Jean?s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 13, 2010 at King of Glory Church, 10001 W. 58th St., Arvada, CO.
