Marilyn Jean Meyer, 80 of Fort Collins went home to be with the Lord on October 15, 2015. Marilyn was born on April 7, 1935 to Emanuel and Alvina Schmer in Fort Collins, CO.
After graduating from Waverly High School, she married Arthur Leroy Meyer on June 28, 1953. Arthur and Marilyn farmed in the Wellington area, where they raised their two sons Allan and Terry. Marilyn was a wonderful cook. She loved to have the family for big dinners on holidays. She loved to garden and raise flowers. She valued going to dinner with friends on Saturday night.
Marilyn and Arthur were active members of the Timberline Church and served the Lord for many years and had many wonderful friends there.
Marilyn is preceded in death by parents, Emanuel and Alvina Schmer and George and Eva Meyer.
She is survived by her husband Arthur Meyer, two sons Allan (Beverly) Meyer of Fort Collins, CO, Terry Meyer of Highlands Ranch, CO, five grandsons Ronald (Shannon) Meyer of Freeland, MI, Brent Meyer (Kelly Bell, fiancé) of Wellington, CO, Christopher Ryan Meyer of Denver, CO, Nathan (Tammy) Meyer of Denver, CO, Bradley (Ashley) Meyer of Fort Collins, and 5 great-grandchildren. One sister Carol (Chuck) Winter of Fort Collins, CO and multiple nieces & nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, 10 a.m., Timberline Church, South Auditorium, 2908 S. Timberline Rd. A Graveside Service will follow on Tuesday, 1:30 p.m. at Grandview Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or the charity of your choice in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W. Olive, Ft. Collins, CO 80524.
