Listen to Obituary
Marilyn Mae Coleman, 94, of Fort Collins, embarked on her final cruise October 23, 2016, to her most awesome destination yet.

The middle of three daughters, Marilyn was born in Callaway, Nebraska on March 9, 1922 to Floyd and Mae Belle Ross. She grew up in Grand Island, Nebraska and graduated from Grand Island High School in 1939. Marilyn married George Adney Coleman in 1941. They lived in Ottawa, Illinois before returning to Nebraska where they raised their daughter, Georgianna and son, Michael. They made their final home in Fort Collins, Colorado in 1979.

Marilyn was a member of the Elks Club, Telephone Pioneers, and Daughters of the American Revolution. In addition to her role as homemaker, she was employed with Sears, Cabela's, and Target. She was an active member of the St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Fort Collins, Colorado.
Ocean cruises were a passion of Marilyn's in her later years, and she enjoyed many trips around the world with one or both of her two sisters. Marilyn was never happier than enjoying a cup of coffee and conversation with whomever would join her. She had a real zest for life.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George; her daughter, Georgianna (Jan); her son, Michael (Paula); and her sister, Joyce. She is survived by her sister, Gwyn; four grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.
