Listen to Obituary
Marian (Mickey) Poole, 82, of Fort Collins, CO was promoted to glory on Tuesday, April 18, 2016 at Medical Center of the Rockies. She passed peacefully with her daughters by her side.

Mickey was born on January 15, 1934 in Kampsville, Illinois to Thomas G Sevier and Hilda B Preston. She moved to Fort Collins with her family in 1946. She attended Lincoln Junior High and Fort Collins High School.

She is succeeded by her husband of 65 years, Ben, a sister, brother, two daughters and a son,10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Mom and Dad met and fell in love in Fort Collins in 1948. It was a love story from beginning until end. One never went anywhere without the other. They truly enjoyed each other's company.

Mickey loved the Lord and spoke in prayer to Him about her needs and concerns and was always quick to pray for others which she did on a daily basis. She had a genuine relationship with the Lord. All of the grandchildren loved going to church with her as she always smelled so good and had the breath mints which she shared freely with all of them and she always looked the best she could and carried a pretty little hanky. She and dad were faithful to attend church every Sunday and Wednesday. Dad taught Bible study on Sunday morning classes. They ministered for many years in Fort Collins at many of the nursing homes and also in Idaho when they lived there.

Mom had a unique talent of making everything in the world around her beautiful in everything from home decorating, gardening, painting, hand quilting and various other crafts. She took great care with her personal appearance and loved cooking and entertaining her family. She loved flowers and worked at maintaining a 13 acre parcel of land in Idaho along with her husband. It looked like a park. She not only made things beautiful around her but always saw the beauty in everything.

Mickey had a fun loving and bubbly spirit. She was quick witted, smart, funny and kind. She knew the Bible frontwards and backwards.

She was the embodiment of Proverbs 31.

We know you are free, well and singing in heaven now and someday we will all meet again.
