Marian Etta Lemmon, age 87, left this earth and joined her Savior on July 26, 2023 She was born on January 7, 1936 to George H. Weers and Catherine Irene (Winters) Weers. Marian grew up in the Haxtun and Sterling area of Colorado, and then moved with her family to Fort Collins in 1952, a junior at Fort Collins High School. She married Harry Lemmon in Fort Collins on January 16, 1955. Together, they spent time at USAF bases in France, Rapid City, SD and Fort Worth, TX. Harry also served 2 years in Korea while Marian continued raising their 4 children in Fort Collins.
Marian was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Fort Collins. Her faith was unshakeable and she frequently reminded her adult children "prayers work." Marian's greatest love was for her family which she demonstrated in countless ways throughout the years. She developed a unique and special relationship with each one of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and they all enjoyed spending time with "Memaw". Marian enjoyed watercolor painting, cooking, baking, line dancing and socializing with friends in her neighborhood. While visiting Marian, you could almost always count on a bowl of Boy Scout Chili warming on the stove. She had a close relationship with her sisters and took many memorable trips with them.
Marian Lemmon is survived by her Sons, Darrell A Lemmon (Carol) of Windsor; Ronald K Lemmon (Lisa) of Colorado Springs; Steven Greg Lemmon (Kelly) of Greeley; and Daughter, Cheryl Boltz-Gonzalez (Thomas) of Milliken. Sisters Nadine Hisam of Fort Collins, and Betty Eggleston of Rowlett, Texas; seven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
Marian Lemmon was preceded in death by her Parents, George and Catherine Weers; Husband Harry Lemmon, Father-in-law Raymond Lemmon and Mother-in-law Louise Lemmon; Brothers Norval, Harold, and Ronald Weers; and Sister Carol Wallace.
Viewing will be held 9am - 4pm, Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. The Funeral Service will be held 10am, Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at St. John's Lutheran Church, 305 E. Elizabeth Street. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens Cemetery.
