Maria Dolores Reyes Delgado was born on April 3, 1940, in Alamillo Rodeo, Durango, Mexico, to Jose Reyes and Leogarda Sarmiento Baldivia. Maria came to the United States when she was 16 years of age. She then became an official citizen of the United States on Nov. 7, 1975. Maria resided in Fort Lupton, Wellington and Fort Collins. Maria Dolores Reyes Delgado passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2008. Maria met Felipe DeJesus Delgado in November of 1973. They married on Jan. 15, 1975, and were happily married for 25 years. Maria loved the Rocky Mountains, traveling, plants, flowers, and most of all her roses. Maria was a beautiful and extraordinary mother, wife, sister and grandmother. Maria was not only an amazing human being, but also a true angel that lived on earth. She possessed a heart that was so immense that not even the universe could contain it. Maria was pure unconditional love. Among her most amazing qualities was complete forgiveness. If one had ever had the privilege to meet Maria, one would know how incredible and kind her soul was. Maria is survived by her eleven children, Minarca Jenll Gurule' of Fort Collins, Evaristo Joel Moreno of Fort Collins, Quentin Lubin Moreno of Colorado Springs, Kingsley Israel Moreno of Fort Collins, Duane Robert Moreno of Colorado Springs, Demetrius Phillip Delgado of Fort Collins, Azelea Maria Bullock of Commerce City, Felipe DeJesus Delgado Jr. of Colorado Springs, Amorette Angelica Delgado of Boulder, Rocio Laurel Delgado of Fort Collins, and Chrystal Marie Delgado of Fort Collins. She is also survived by four brothers and two sisters, and 24 grandchildren. Preceding Maria in death are her parents, Jose Reyes and Leogarda Baldivia; and her younger sister, Genarita Reyes. A celebration of her life will be honored at 3 p.m. on Friday Oct. 24th at the Bohlender Funeral Chapel.
