Margieann Breckel Seifert

November 7, 1948 — July 2, 2017

Listen to Obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother and grandmother (Ma), Margieann Breckel Seifert. After a long, hard fought battle against COPD for the last 14 years, her little body just could not fight anymore, as much as her spirit wanted to. She took her last breaths surrounded by her family, who loved her so incredibly much. She went to be with the Lord at 8:45 PM, July 2, 2017.

Margie was born on November 7, 1948 in Chicago, IL, grew up in Lake Zurich, IL and was a graduate of Ela Vernon High School, class of 1966. She moved to Morrison, CO in 1981 and worked for Jefferson County Schools as a lunch lady and then at Southwest Family Medicine as their bookkeeper for 25 years before retiring in 2013. She moved to Fort Collins, CO in 2014 and lived there until her death. Margie loved playing Candy Crush, reaching level 1539! She also loved watching HGTV and catching up on things with her IPad. She was incredibly stubborn, which served her well in her fight against COPD. She loved her family fiercely and was the strongest lady you could ever hope to meet. She didn't want to leave us, but told us she knew it was time to go home to God and was at peace at the time of her passing.

Margie was loved beyond measure and is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Dick Seifert, daughter Tiffany Landis (Brad), son Jason (Jennifer), her 5 grandchildren, Abby, Cole, Avery, Elise and Lauren. Her mother-in-law Laura Seifert, two brothers, Dale Breckel and Mike Breckel, her sister Joyce Carlson and many other family members. She is preceded in death by her parents Ed and Kay Breckel, her father-in-law Dale Seifert, her brother-in-law Mike Baier and nephew Jeffery Breckel.

She can now take full, easy breaths once again in heaven. Though our pain has just begun, hers has finally ended.

Services will be held at Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W. Olive St., Fort Collins. There will be a viewing from 4-7 PM on Friday, July 7th. Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM on July 8th in the Chapel, followed by a gravesite burial at Grandview Cemetery at Noon. A reception will follow at 4208 Center Gate Ct., Fort Collins immediately after.

Please join us in showing our love for a wonderful lady, but remember, no goodbyes.

In lieu of flowers please make a donation in Margie's name to the American Lung Association. http://www.lung.org/get-involved/ways-to-give/
