Margaret H. Olson

Margaret H Olson passed away peacefully on Sunday May 19, 2019. She was 77.

Margaret was born on September 3, 1941 just outside Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Gilbert and Erna (Weber) Herzer. She graduated from the University of Illinois in 1963 with her husband, William Olson. They moved to California where they had 3 children and eventually ended up in Colorado in the mid 1970's.

Margaret was a homemaker. She was also an avid supporter of the Loveland Public Library where she volunteered many hours helping the "Friends" organization. She loved books, especially mysteries. She enjoyed children and volunteered at local elementary schools. She also loved cats and Broadway musicals and had a passion for home decorating. She had a wonderfully close relationship with her only grandchild, Emily, and they were the best of friends. Margaret was a great listener, always supportive and helpful and interested in people's lives.
Margaret is survived by her 3 children, Carolyn B Olson (son-in-law, Robert Stephens, granddaughter, Emily Stephens), Eric W Olson, and Michael R Olson; and her siblings, Irene Mentzer, Raymond (sister-in-law, Nina) Herzer, and Deborah Teuscher. Her sister, Jean Stonehill, preceeded her in death.

As her family has chosen to remember her privately, there will be no service.
