Margaret Burgwin Maser

Our mom passed on Saturday Oct 7th, 2023. She was born June 8th, 1933 as Margaret Burgwyn, sometimes known as Meg or Margy. When she married our dad she became Margaret Hartwell. Later she married again and became Margaret Maser, but to all of us over the past years she has been "Granny".

As Margaret Burgwyn she was a daughter to Elizabeth and Howard, and sister to Jim and Molly. She was the middle child, and the littlest.

As Margy Hartwell she was loved dearly as a mother by Tony and Page Hartwell, as a wife by Charles Hartwell and by countless students and teachers at Marin Country Day School where she worked for many, many years. We are so proud of the important work she did there. She had a positive impact on so many young people.

As Margy Maser she was loved by her second husband Clark Maser and worked hard to act as mother to his two sons Minot and Carter.

As Granny, she became the true embodiment of love in caring for her family and most especially her beloved grandchildren Erlend, Eleanor and Lily Page.

The family would like to thank her many caregivers in her last years for their kind, skilled and loyal help.

We miss Granny but saw her rise just outside of her window in the most glorious rainbow four days after her passing. You can see it on the photos and video tab.
