Magdalen ''Lena'' Gefroh

Magdalen Lena Gefroh, age 99, of Karlsruhe, North Dakota, and Fort Collins, Colorado went home to be with the Lord on April 27, 2009. Lena was born in Towner, North Dakota to Peter and Mary Anna Jager on October 8, 1909. In 1939, Lena was united in marriage to Peter Gefroh. Together they lived in Karlsruhe until Peter's death in September 13, 1973. Lena was a homemaker, enjoyed sewing and was a church organist at the St. Peter and Paul Catholic church in Karlsruhe for many years. Lena excelled in sewing, knitting, and crocheting, and was active in the Karlsruhe community throughout her life. Lena was preceded in death by her parents, husband, seven sisters and one brother. Lena had a fulfilling life and is survived by three sons, Raymond of Fort Collins, Isidore of Orlando, Florida, James of Fort Collins, seven grandchildren and eight great- grandchildren. A funeral mass will be held at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Karlsruhe on May 5th at 10:30 AM with interment following at the Karlsruhe cemetery beside her beloved husband, Peter.
