Mae Dotzenko died peacefully at her home in Fort Collins in her 97th year of life. She was born to Peter and Elizabeth Bundarin May 6, 1921, in Newburgh, New York. She grew up on her parents dairy farm with her 3 brothers and sister. In 1939 she married her childhood sweetheart Alexander Dotzenko. After several moves to different parts of the country and after World War II and her husband returned from the war and completed his Doctorate they settled in Fort Collins in 1951 and raised their family. Mae was a busy house wife raising 4 boys and belonging to several different clubs in Fort Collins. Mae was a big fan of the performing arts in Fort Collins and was often seen at performances. Over the years her husbands career had them living in several different countries all over the world. Mae and Alexander continued to travel the globe after all their children had grown and they had retired, until his death in 1986. Mae continued her love of travel into her early 90's. She is proceeded in death by her husband Alexander and her son Allen. She is survived by her son Steven of Fort Collins, son Greg of London, England, son Jay of Port Angeles, Washington and several nieces and nephews, 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. The family would like to express their deepest thanks to Pathways Hospice for their professional and loving care for the final months of her life. There will be a memorial social at 6:00 pm on December 14, 2017 at the Hilton Hotel, 425 Prospect Road, Fort Collins, Colorado.
