M. Jeanette Zeigler graced us with her presence on January 17, 1928.
She was born to Mary E. Jones and Samuel F. Dillard of Galeton. She passed away on August 28, 2008. She came into the world a lady and left it the same way. She graduated from Galeton High School in 1946 and was married on November 8, 1946 to the love of her life Donald "Don" Zeigler. Don preceded her in death on April 1, 1981. She was a member of Women in Construction and a businesswoman and a stay at home mother. She was proud of her roots in the Galeton community. Jeanette was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She excelled at her many roles in life and taught many people numerous lessons about life. She recognized the hilarity of life and shared it with those around her. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and sharing the joys and troubles of life with her family and friends. We will cherish her humor, wit, and advice. She is survived by her brother Hershel Dillard and wife Jean both of Galeton, her daughter Linda Garton and husband Lewis Garton both of Fort Collins, son Dick Zeigler and wife Debbie both of Windsor, son Greg Zeigler of Fort Collins and her much loved 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. The family would like to express their deep and sincere appreciation to the hospice staff at McKee Medical Center for their loving care of Grandma during her last days with us. We couldn't have asked for any better care. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, at Plymouth Congregational Church in Fort Collins. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery. Those who desire may view Mrs. Zeigler, Tuesday, 9 a.m. GÇô 4 p.m. at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. Friends may send condolences to the family at bohlenderfuneralchapel.com.
