Lynn Alldrin, 72, passed away on January 25, 2012, after a short battle with brain cancer. Lynn was born April 13, 1939 in Eureka, California to Margaret and Chester Phillips. She grew up in Wolf Point, Montana. Lynn was a mother, grandmother, friend, jewelry designer, writer, artist, humanist, environmentalist, political activist, rock hound and chocolate lover. After receiving a B.S. and M.A. degrees in Social Work from the University of Northern Colorado, she worked as a child advocate. Ever concerned with political and social issues, she volunteered at the Lambda Community Center, the Rainbow Chorus and the Larimer Democratic Party, which she served as Treasurer from 2007 to 2011. She also worked on numerous ballot issues and candidate campaigns. Lynn is survived by daughter, Laurie Betz with her husband, David of Wellington; daughter, Tracey Rippley with her husband, Lewis of Fort Collins; grandchildren: Michael Betz, Dava Betz, Craig Banghart, David Banghart; great grandchildren: Tyler, Kadyn, and Gavin. The family wishes to express their deep gratitude to the staff of the Rehabilitation Center of the Rockies and to Pathways Hospice for the care and support of our mother and our family.
