Lyle Vernon Raser died at home on March 23, 2012 after a lengthy illness at the age of 88. He was born on January 6, 1924 in Chapman, Nebraska. He farmed in Nebraska with his parents, Jesse and Gladys, until he entered the United States Marine Corp during World War II. He married Charlotte Peterson on March 5, 1950. They moved to Colorado in 1954 where they raised four children. After leaving the farm he had multiple careers until his retirement in the early 1990s. In his retirement he worked part time and enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Vic; a sister, Donna; two nephews, Bill and Doug; and a niece, Kay. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte; sister, Verla; his children, Pam Mark, Cheryl Mark, Scott, and Jan Bret; life-long friend and brother-in-law, LeMoyne; sister-in-law, Joan; brother-in-law, Charles Katherine; sister-in-law, Jackie Tony; nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. We would like to thank Dr. Bernard Birnbaum of Family Medicine Center for his many years of care for our dad. They shared a very special relationship. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery.
