Lydia Kerbel, 95, formerly of Fort Collins, died July 13, 2005, at North Shore Health Care Center in Loveland. She was born Feb. 1, 1910, in Kolb, Russia, to Conrad Frickel and Katherine Elizabeth Adler Frickel. Mrs. Kerbel married Henry Kerbel on Feb. 22, 1931, in Fort Collins. Lydia lived most of her life in the Fort Collins and Loveland area. She was a homemaker and also a member of Immanuel Christian Reformed Church. Mrs. Kerbel is survived by a son, Robert H. Kerbel and his wife, Jane, of Alamosa; a daughter, Vivian L. Anderson, of Scottsdale, Ariz.; one brother, Reuben Frickel, of Denver; two sisters, Leona Kerbel of Loveland, and Eva Maul of Gering, Neb., seven grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; one son, Clarence L. Kerbel; and two daughters, Dorothy J. Jacoby and Betty Ann Waitman. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Immanuel Christian Reformed Church, 1900 S. Taft Hill Road. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery. Pastor John Terpstra will officiate the service.
