December 11, 1950 — December 20, 2025

Listen to Obituary
Lydia June Currey Feit 75, a lifelong resident of Fort Collins, Colorado, passed away peacefully of natural causes on December 20, 2025, surrounded by the family she loved so dearly.

Born on December 11, 1950, in Fort Collins, Lydia was the daughter of the late Henry and Amelia Feit. A woman of determination, she celebrated a significant milestone in 1976 when she graduated from Centennial Adult High School.

In 1978, Lydia married the love of her life, Robert Currey. Together, they built a life centered on family, raising their daughters Tammy and Kimberly. While Lydia spent a few years in Fitzgerald, Georgia, working in nursing homes, the heart of her life was in Fort Collins. Her career was marked by her dedication to others, including nearly eight years at Hewlett-Packard and a decade of service at Colorado State University.

Lydia's soul was happiest in the great outdoors. She was an avid fisherwoman, and she and Robert were a constant fixture at Lake #4 in Wellington, Red Feather Lakes, and countless other fishing spots across the region. When she wasn't by the water, Lydia was often found with a crochet hook in hand. She was a prolific creator, leaving behind a legacy of beautiful, intricate blankets in every pattern and bright color imaginable.

Those who knew Lydia will fondly remember her "infectious laugh," her quick wit, and her passion for WWE wrestling—a program she, Robert and her brother Donnie shared a special love for and could discuss for hours. Above all, she will be remembered for her unconditional love and the way her big heart and joyful joking could light up any room.

Lydia was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Amelia Feit, and her brother and sister-in-law, Eugene and Elsie Feit.

Her memory will be cherished by her husband, Robert Currey; her daughters, Tammy (Toby) Cortez and Kimberly Currey (Gary Keeley); her brother, Donald (Kristi) Feit; and her sister, Arline (Linden) Wagner. She also leaves behind a legacy of six grandchildren: Christopher Cortez, Brandon (Callie) Bloodsworth, Jason (Nikki) Bloodsworth, Trinity Kilgore, Kensley Keeley (Davon Nava) and Corrie "Bubba" Keeley (Hayden Knudson) ; five great-grandchildren (with another on the way); and many beloved nieces, nephews, and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at The American Legion Post 4, 2124 Co Rd 54G, Fort Collins, CO 80524, on January 25th, 2-5 PM, please feel free to bring a dish to share as well as a story to tell of our beloved "Toots'!
