Lucille Vivian Gaston, 89, of Fort Collins, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, March 19, 2007. Her service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Summitview West Church, 1601 West Drake Road. A celebration of life will follow at 5 p.m. in the Fellowship Room. Lucille was born Dec. 14, 1917, to James E. Duncan and Ida M. Williamson Duncan. She was raised and schooled in the McMinnville-Morrison, Tenn., area. She met, fell in love with and married Ralph Joe Gaston in her hometown area and soon moved to Wyoming to start their new life. Joe and Lucille had three children and raised them in southern Wyoming. Lucille worked at the University of Wyoming until they moved to Cheyenne where they owned and operated the Big Horn Motel. Lucille was a joy and delight to know. She was a quiet, elegant woman, truly a southern lady through and through. She let her love for the Lord guide her through life and shine through to her family and friends all the way to the end. She enjoyed her family and friends, loved her pets Zeus and Nikita, loved to study the Bible and go to her church Living Hope. Her true loves were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They were very special to her and kept her young at heart. Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Joe Gaston, and two brothers, Leaborn and Clifford Duncan. She is survived by her son, Ralph E. Gaston of Corvallis, Ore.; her daughter and son-in-law, Kristy and Steve Kingery of Corvallis, Ore.; and her daughter and son-in-law, Joey and John Porter of Fort Collins. She also is survived by four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, "her little, special ones." Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Larimer County in care of Bohlender Funeral Service, 121 West Olive St., Fort Collins, CO 80521. Friends may send condolences to the family at
