Mr. Lucario "Luke" Roybal Jr. 63 of Fort Collins, Colorado passed away quietly in the afternoon of Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at his residence, with his family at his side.
Luke was born in Scottsbluff, Nebraska on Oct 5th 1953, to Lucario and Julia Roybal and raised in Windsor, Colorado where he worked on a farm with his Dad and brother. Later, the family moved to Fort Collins where he then married Teresa Romero and had 3 sons. He retired from Poudre School District after 28 years of working as a Head Custodian at Cache La Poudre Jr High in Laporte, CO. He is survived by his two sons Tony and Nicholas Roybal of Fort Collins, brother Celestino Roybal, sisters Mary Ann Ludi, Linda Tafoya, Vera Jones, all of Fort Collins, and many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his son Desmond V. Roybal, father Lucario Roybal Sr. and mother Julia Roybal.
He enjoyed watching Nascar #48 Jimmie Johnson, boxing, playing pool, working on projects at home. He loved blues music and golden oldies. He loved watching movies with his boys. He had many friends and loved hanging out with them. He will be deeply missed by all.
The viewing will be held at Bohlender's funeral chapel on Monday from 5-7pm. His service will be held at St. Joseph's on Wednesday Feb. 15th starting at 1:30pm. All are welcome.
