Violet Louise Doughty, 82, of Greeley, died May 20, 2007, at her residence. Mrs. Doughty was born July 28, 1924, in Ault to William Henry Glidewell and Anna Elizabeth Green Glidewell. Louise married Walter Vernon Doughty on Dec. 24, 1944, in Fort Collins. They farmed west of Ault and moved to Fort Collins in 1968. In the year 2000 she moved to Greeley. Louise enjoyed needlepoint, music and watching baseball. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her three sons, Samuel Doughty of Fort Collins, William Doughty of Evans and the Rev. Charles Doughty of Evansville, Ind.; a daughter, Judy Doughty-Sills of Fort Collins; three sisters, Doris Nelson of Greeley, Bonnie Brown of Hobbs, N.M., and Dee Lambert of Loveland; seven grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Roy Glidewell; a sister, Edna Capron; and her husband, Vernon. A funeral will be at Bohlender Funeral Chapel at 10 a.m. Friday. A graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. Friday at the Eaton Cemetery, Eaton. Those who desire may view Mrs. Doughty from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday at Bohlender Funeral Chapel.
