Listen to Obituary
Louis (Bud) Mark Korth
May 13, 1935 – April 29, 2023

Bud Korth passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Columbine West in Fort Collins, Colorado. He was with his wife of 63 years, Louise (Bunny) Korth.

Bud was born in Antigo, Wisconsin on May 13, 1935. He is survived by his twin sister, Marian and pre-deceased by his parents, Louis and Mary, and his two older brothers, Ken and Irv.

He met his wife, Bunny, in Antigo and they were married in 1959. They moved to Heidelberg, Germany in 1960 when Bud took a job with the U.S. Department of Dependent Schools. He taught math and coached wrestling, soccer, and football for the Heidelberg Lions.

Bud's three kids, Bill, Launie, and Susan, were born in Heidelberg. Over his career, Bud earned his master's degree and PhD in education and moved into administrative positions within DODDS. In 2000, he and Bunny retired to Fort Collins, Colorado. He has seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Bud was a life-long skier and moved to Europe, in part, to ski the Alps. He also enjoyed working on cars and was an avid reader. He invented adventures and missions for his grandkids and was always up for a game of schafkopf with the family. He played piano and accordion, followed the Broncos and Packers, and told great stories. He always found the silver lining in any situation and loved his friends and family with all his heart.

His family would like to thank the staff at Columbine West for their kind and compassionate care. We would love to hear your thoughts, memories, or stories – you can post on the Bohlender Funeral Chapel site or Facebook: https://www.bohlenderfuneralchapel.com/obituaries
