LouAnn Aughinbaugh, born Sept. 30, 1915, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 6th. She was born in Madison, Kan., to Parker and Hannah Cox. She married Earl Aughinbaugh on Feb. 10, 1934, and moved to Fort Lupton. Earl and LouAnn bought Spencer Heights Resort in the Poudre Canyon, in 1958, moving to the Poudre full time in 1964. They resided in Poudre Canyon until 1999, when they moved to Fort Collins. When Earl passed away in 2001, LouAnn moved back up to the Poudre where she lived until a few months before her death. LouAnn and Earl had three children, Lee Janet Aughinbaugh, Murrieta, California; Shirly Buck Edwards, Chadron, Neb.; Susan Ron Brown, Poudre Canyon; eight grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be at the Poudre Canyon Chapel in Sept. and LouAnn will be interred at the Chapel Columbarium.
