Lorraine Spaeth

Lorraine Spaeth, 94, formerly of Durango, Colorado, died November 23, 2009 at McKee Medical Center, Pathways Hospice Unit in Loveland, Colorado. Mrs. Spaeth was born April 24, 1915 in Durango, Colorado. Lorraine married Charles "Buddy" Spaeth on December 24, 1936 in Aztec, New Mexico. Lorraine was raised in Durango and lived in Colorado Springs for 30 years. She then returned to Durango in 1991. She moved to Ft. Collins in 2007 to live with her son and his family. She enjoyed playing bridge at the Durango Senior Center on Thursday's. Survivors include her son, Chuck Spaeth and his wife, Theresa of Ft. Collins; four grandchildren, Charle', Chad, Cameron, and Garrett; six grandchildren, Josh, Jake, Jenny, Blake, Danielle, and Michelle, and a great-great-grandchild, Kaiya. Preceding Lorraine in death are her mother, Eva Folks; stepparents, Wrennie and Amelia Folks;a sister, Helen Hunt, and her daughter, Sandy Gehrig. A Memorial Service will be held at Hood Mortuary, 1261 E. 3rd Ave, Durango, Colorado, on Monday at 1:00 p.m. Memorial contributions can be made to the charity of your choice in Lorraine's name.
