Loretta Van Ronk

Loretta Van Ronk, 90, of Fort Collins, died October 14, 2014 at her home. Loretta was born April 4, 1924 in Yonkers, NY to Martin Normile and Rose "Pregon" Normile. She married John Van Ronk on September 15, 1951 in Bogota, NJ. The family moved to Colorado in 1969, settling in Black Forest. Loretta was a member of the Black Forest Art Guild, pursuing her passion for oil paintings and watercolors. She moved to Ft. Collins in 1987, where she was a member of St. Joseph and John 23rd parishes. Survivors include her sons Peter Van Ronk of Aurora, CO and Mark Van Ronk Derlyn of Windsor; two brothers, James and John Normile, and a sister, Madeline Collentine. Preceding Loretta in death are her parents, her husband, and her sister, Mary Cubby. A Visitation will be held Monday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Bohlender Funeral Chapel, with a Rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, at 10:00 a.m. at Blessed John 23rd University Center, 1220 University Ave. Interment will follow at Eastonville Cemetery, Black Forest, CO.
